Is Lumi worth it if I have a small practice?
Yes. Good processes are easiest to put in place from the start, before your administration grows along with your client list. But Lumi doesn’t just save you time. It helps you professionalise your practice, protect client information more securely, prevent double bookings and reduce missed or forgotten sessions with automatic reminders. If you have up to 10 sessions a month, you can also use Lumi for free.
Is switching to Lumi complicated?
No, you don’t have to move everything at once. You can start with just one or two clients, try Lumi in your everyday work and add more features gradually. If you need help, you can book a short consultation with us. We’ll help you import your clients in bulk and set up Lumi around your practice’s needs.
Can I use Lumi if I’m not a technical person?
Absolutely. Most of our clients aren’t technically minded, so we’ve built Lumi to be simple and intuitive from the beginning. It’s a dedicated system created specifically for therapists. You won’t find unnecessary features for other industries that make things more complicated. And if you’re unsure about anything, we’re happy to help.
Why change how I work when Google Calendar, Excel or paper are enough?
Each of these tools can handle one part of your work. The problem comes when you have to copy information between your calendar, spreadsheets, messages, bank account and invoices, while also keeping track of every appointment, payment and reminder. Lumi connects them in one place, giving you a clearer overview, less manual work and a lower risk of mistakes. You can still use Google Calendar alongside Lumi.
I want to stay in control of my practice. Can I do that with Lumi?
Yes, you always stay in control. You decide your availability, prices, services, booking methods and which processes to automate. You can also tailor your booking page to how you work—for example, specifying which days you offer online or in-person sessions and which services are available at particular times. Lumi gives you flexibility without making decisions for you.
Is my clients’ information safe?
Security is one of Lumi’s core principles, and we give it more attention than typical administrative tools do. Data is stored in the European Union, encrypted both in transit and at rest, and regularly backed up. Lumi is designed with GDPR and the sensitive nature of therapy in mind. It also offers specific security features, such as keeping anonymous client records or signing out of a device remotely.
Do I have to pay for Lumi straight away?
No. You can first try Lumi free for 14 days, without entering a payment card or making any commitment. If you’re starting out with up to 10 sessions a month, you can then continue using it completely free.
